Hello! My name is Alison. As a recently licensed therapist, I am excited to begin my career in creating a safe and collaborative relationship that empowers clients to achieve their goals and improve their well-being. I have a foundation in working with children and parents struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, adjustment difficulties, and relationship challenges. With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, I believe in being mindful of your experiences and respecting your boundaries in our therapeutic relationship together. As a life-long learner, I am committed to developing my skills as a therapist to provide the best care to my clients. My Story
Identity: As a first generation Asian American, I struggled with the difficulties of being Asian and American. My cross cultural identity was complicated by living in a family system with a 3 generational gap with different experiences, morals, and values. I’m A Lee’s Son, per my dad’s joke. My name has caused a lot of confusion because we seem to live in a society that functions with gender norms and traditional values. Society has caused me to question my place in it through my multiple identities. At the end of the day, I choose to identify as human. I am human and I can only do my best to help create a society that takes the time to provide understanding and support, a society that sees you and hears you as you are and helps get you to where you want to be.
