Nervous about seeing a graduate student therapist?
Graduate student therapists work under close supervision with an experienced clinician, and they have received training. You will be receiving the same level of care as you would with another clinician, but at a reduced rate.

Please note: RISE takes Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), Blue Care Network (BCN) and Out of Pocket Pay Only

Hi there!
My name is Claire. It’s a pleasure to meet you.
I’m a RISE graduate student therapist, pleasure activist, and lifelong learner. My goal is to be supportive in your care journey, promoting insight, self-compassion, and non-judgment. I am coming into the space with my growing expertise in mental health, but you are the expert in your life! You already have everything you need for change inside of you. I want to give you the space to celebrate, grieve, and reflect on your life, as a way to reconnect with your most authentic, self-compassionate, pleasurable, and whole self. You are normal, living in an abnormal world. My work is done through a social justice lens, as a way to challenge systems of oppression.
I grew up in Dayton, Ohio (The birthplace of aviation…if you were curious!?) I attended the University of Dayton and received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. During that time, I worked in Campus Recreation, a pillar within health and wellbeing. I made the journey through endless cornfields to the University of Michigan, where I am now working towards a graduate dual degree within the School of Social Work and School of Public Health (MSW/MPH). The past year, I have worked in sexual assault prevention and awareness at the University, providing services and educational programming to undergraduate students. This work has been extremely meaningful for my passion to educate others in sexual health.
Many of us have been taught to view our sexuality, gender, and body with shame. Navigating this relationship can be challenging. I have found that education and connection were crucial in giving me a sense of empowerment and grace within my own body. I am passionate that all people deserve to be whole within themself. This is why I am drawn to sexual health. I hope to show up in spaces to educate, empower, connect, and ultimately bring an awareness that you are not alone in this journey.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy collecting and reading books, crocheting, live music, and getting sweet treats with my friends.
