Hi! My name is Kelly and I’m excited to meet you. I am a current graduate student at the University of Michigan School of Social Work and a graduate therapist and health advocate at RISE. I strive to make people feel their best in both mind and body. I’m passionate about creating affirming spaces where clients can explore their identities, build self-compassion, and navigate life’s challenges.

Before pursuing therapy, I spent a decade working in big tech, an experience that not only showed me the toll that high-stress environments can take on mental health but also shaped my dedication to helping folks recognize and manage internalized capitalism and burnout. Over time, I began to notice how often stress led to disconnection from the body. I noticed feelings of isolation were showing up, not just in myself, but in many of the people around me. These realizations, combined with my own lived experiences, ultimately led me to shift paths, centering myself on helping people feel more whole and grounded.

As someone who has personally navigated infertility due to autoimmune disease, I’m deeply passionate about supporting individuals living with infertility, chronic illness, and disability. These experiences often come with layers of grief, uncertainty, and a complicated relationship with one’s body. In my work, I strive to create a space where people feel empowered, understood, and truly at home in themselves. I also practice from a fat-positive, Health at Every Size (HAES) aligned perspective, honoring body diversity and supporting each person’s unique path to well-being.

I believe that everyone deserves access to sexual health, pleasure, joy, and meaningful connection, with themselves and with others. As a queer and queer-affirming therapist, I champion the full spectrum of sexual and gender identities. I understand that sexuality is deeply personal and looks different for everyone. There is no one-size-fits-all approach. Whether someone is exploring their sexuality, healing from past experiences, or simply wanting to reconnect with desire, I meet people where they are without judgment. My goal is to create a supportive space where individuals can explore what feels authentic, safe, and fulfilling for them.

As for my personal life, I’m a lifelong Michigander who loves spending time with my partner and our daughter. I am a lover of animals, especially dogs. I find so much joy in their presence, whether it’s spending time with my own pets, watching birds in the garden, or just seeing a dog out on a walk. My hobbies align with the seasons like many Michiganders. When the weather allows, you’ll usually find me in the garden, mini-golfing, or spending time at the lake. When it doesn’t, I’m indoors playing games, reading, or catching up with friends. I care deeply about social justice and equity, and I celebrate diversity. I welcome clients of all identities and experiences.
